    • Green outside, violet-purple inside.
    • Stamens 5, lanceolate. Corolla-tube inflated below, lobes 5, corona staminal, 2-seriate, pollinia erect.
  • Fruit : Follicles tapering to a point, seeds comose.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : September - November
  • Significance : The leaves and tubers are eaten.
