  • Habit : A very extensive, tendril climber.
  • Leaves : Opposite, compound, leaflets 2, ovate-lanceolate, acute, the terminal leaflet is modified into 3-partite, hooked, gland-like tendril.
  • Inflorescence : Axillary
  • Flowers :
    • Yellow in pairs, Calyx cup-like, 5-lobed.
    • Corolla tubular, tube short with swollen limb and 5 spreading lobes, with deeper yellow lines in the throat.
    • Stamens 4, didynamous.
    • Ovary on a disk, style curved.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : March - April
  • Significance : Very commonly cultivated in gardens.
