  • Habit : An evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub, scandent  with numerous, thin, woody branches.
  • Leaves : Glossy, leathery, elliptic-lance shaped, opposite, dark-green, glossy.
  • Flowers :
    • Snow white, pin wheel, star shaped flowers, multi-petaled, tubular and fragrant.
    • Corolla lobes 8-12.
  • Flowering and Fruiting time : December - February
  • Significance :
    • Generally cultivated for its sweet smelling flowers.
    • Flowers are used to make venis and garlands.
