About Roldana barba-johannis Plant :

  • Habit : An erect, branched, annual herb.
  • Leaves : Alternate, abaxially pubescent on entire leaf surface, phyllaries 7-13, petioles not expanded at base of leaves, sinuate to weakly lobed, sinus depth never approaching midrib.
  • Inflorescence : Capitulum (Head) - Golden yellow.
  • Flowers :
    • Ray florets 10-15, linear, oblong, golden yellow coloured.
    • Disk florets in the centre, bisexual, yellow of a darker shade.
  • Fruits : Achenes
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : August - October
  • Significance : Generally grown as an ornamental plant.
