About Verbascum chinense Plant :

  • Habit : An annual, erect, glandular-hairy herbs, 20-70 cm tall.
  • Leaves : Both radical and cauline, radical ones 8-35 cm long, lyrately pinnatifid, cauline ones elliptic-oblong or ovate-oblong, sessile, all appressed-gladular hairy.
  • Flowers : Yellow axillary solitary and in 10-30 cm long, terminal, simple or branched racemes.
  • Fruits :
    • Capsules ovoid or subglobose, pale-brown.
    • Seeds minute, oblong, blackish-brown, rugose.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : Throughout the year.
  • Significance : Commonly found as a weed.
