Habit :
A perennial shrub.
Leaves :
Pinnately compound with 8-14 pairs of leaflets.
Inflorescence :
Large spike-like racemes.
Flowers :
Golden yellow in colour with fertile stamens 7.
Fruit :
Pods furnished with a wing down the middle of each valve, flat, with 4 broad crenulate wings.
Seeds small and sqaurish.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
September - December
Significance :
An ornamental plant.
The leaves are also known to be used in the treatment of bronchitis and asthama.
