Leaves :
Imparipinnate, leaflets 5-7, ovate-elliptic, obtuse, acminate, glabrous.
Flowers :
Flowers in 5-20 cm long racemes, on young branchlets.
Calyx 1-2 mm glabrous.
Corolla purplish blue, standard glabrous, auriculate.
Fruit :
Pods oblong, glabrous, with sutures.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
February-April
Significance :
Ornamental tree planted along roads for its showy and fragrant flowers.
