A large tree.
Leaves :
Pinnately compound leaves, leaflets 4 pairs, ovate-elliptic.
Inflorescence :
Axillary panicles.

Small.
Calyx small, teeth triangular.
Petals obovate, 5.
Staminal tube cup-like, stamens inside the tube, below the disk.
Ovary immersed in the disk, style short, stigma flat.
Fruit :
Capsule big, brown, opens from below, seeds winged, large.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
April - May
Significance :
Cultivated in gardens and planted on road sides for shade.
