Habit : A small, annual herb with stems simple or branched, geniculate, striate, glabrous, bluish-green, lower portion leafless.
Leaves : Broadly elliptic, oblong or obovate-elliptic, acute at apex, decurrent at base, glabrous or nearly so, entire or distantly and sharply serrate, petioles slightly flattened, glabrous.
Inflorescence : Pinkish, in the axils of floral leaves arranged towards the ends, pedicels very short.
Fruits :
Capsules sub-globse, trilobed, glabrous, green.
Seeds more angular and on outer face carinate, black when mature with a membranous coating.
Flowering and Fruiting Time : May-June
Significance : Found wildly growing in wastelands, gardens, and along the roadsides.
