Habit :
A prostrate, radially spreading annual herb, more or less hairy when growing among dense grasses the stem may be erect.
Leaves :
Simple, broadly ovate-cordate, sessile, hairy on both sides, more densely so beneath. Stipules many.
Flowers :
Flowers in axillary heads. Calyx hairy outside, corolla bright red, about as long as the calyx.
Fruit :
Pods cylindric, 2-seeded.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
August-November
Significance :
Found wildly growing.
