  • Habit : A much branched, woody climbing shrub.   
  • Leaves : Small, broadly ovate, emarginated, hairy when young, with a pair of hooked stipules.
  • Inflorescence : Umbels
  • Flowers :
    • White in many flowered sessile or thorny peduncled umbels.
    • Sepals long and petals narrow. Stamens many.
    • Ovary raised on a short gynophore.
  • Fruit : A small, globose, black berry, one seeded.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : October - May
  • Significance :
    • Common hedge plant.
    • It is used in skin diseases.
