Habit :
A much branched, woody climbing shrub.
Leaves :
Small, broadly ovate, emarginated, hairy when young, with a pair of hooked stipules.
Inflorescence :
Umbels
Flowers :
White in many flowered sessile or thorny peduncled umbels.
Sepals long and petals narrow. Stamens many.
Ovary raised on a short gynophore.
Fruit :
A small, globose, black berry, one seeded.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
October - May
Significance :
Common hedge plant.
It is used in skin diseases.
