Habit : An extensive monoecious, nearly glabrous climber.
Stem :
Subfiliform, elongate, much-branched, grooved and angled, smooth or slightly scabrid.
Tendrils slender, elongate, striate, simple.
Leaves :
Membranous, scabrid on both surfaces with spots, usually 3-partite, narrowed at the base, denticulate or crenulate, the lateral segments more or less bilobed, the intermediate segment entire or trilobed, often with a long mucro; petioles slender, grooved, hirsute, at length scabrid with white spots.
Stipular bracts orbicular, reniform or dimidiate, scabrid with minute white spots, ciliate with hairs as long as the breadth of the bract.
Flowers :
Male flowers 5-10 at the apex of a glabrous filiform peduncle, pedicels ebracteate.
