About Bismarckia nobilis Plant :
Habit : A large palm having a stount trunk with a huge crown of leaves.
Stem : Smooth, grey-brown, cylindrical, very straight, often marked distally with spiral twists, either clockwise or counterclockwise, swollen at the base.
Leaves : Palmately compound, a large split at the base of the petiole where it clasps to the trunk.
Inflorescence : Branched, pendent, inflorescence ofsmall brown flowers.
Flowers : Unisexual, incomplete, borne on separate plants.
Fruits : Drupes, ovoid, blue-green becoming dark brown each with a single seed.
Flowering and Fruiting Time : Not known.
Significance : Generally grown as an ornamental plant.
