    • Stamens 6, filaments long, bases unite into membranous corona, anthers large, versatile.  
    • Ovary angled, 3-celled, style long, stigma capitate, ovules many in 2-series.
  • Fruit : Capsule sub-globose.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : July-September
  • Significance : Cultivated in all gardens.
