Large, ovate, cordate green above, white silky - tomentose below.

Large, rose - purple, on long white - tomentose peduncles, bracts large, white, ovate - lanceolate, deciduous.
Calyx made up of 5 large, white - tomentose sepals, polysepalous.
Corolla bell - shaped, plicate, hairy.
Androecium made up of 5 stamens, included.
Ovary 4 - celled, 4 - ovuled, style slender, stigma globose.

Cultivated in gardens.
Young fresh leaves, hairy side, applied on boils for ripening and pus formation and then smooth side for healing wound in boils.
