    • Bracteate and bracteolate, Calyx inflated, white or grey, lobes 5.
    • Corolla scarlet or red, tube broad, lobes 5.
    • Stamens 4, exserted.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : August-November
  • Significance : Cultivated in the gardens, very showy with scarlet flowers with white persistent calyx.
