Habit :
A climber with stout, angular stem.
Leaves :
Compound consisting of 3 leaflets or sometimes two leaflets and a terminal one transformed into tendril, leaflets ovate or ovate-oblong.
Inflorescence :
Corymbose cymes or racemes, drooping.
Flowers :
Calyx campanulate.
Corolla up to 7.5 cm long, orange-yellow.
Stamens 4 unequal.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
December - February
Significance :
Cultivated in gardens everywhere for its beautiful vermillion orange-crimson coloured flowers.
