Habit :
A slender twiner.
Leaves :
Opposite, petioles not winged, shorter than blade, lanceolate or triangular-ovate, cordate or hastate, palmately 5-nerved.
Inflorescence :
Axillaryon long peduncles.
Flowers :
Bracteate, bracts spathe-like, ovate, persistent.
Calyx cup-like with 15-teeth.
Corolla tube narrow, funnel-shaped, lobes 5, snow-white and without any fragrance.
Stamens 4, didynamous, anthers without spurs.
Ovary on a disk, style long, stigma 2-lipped.
Fruit :
Capsule with many seeds.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
September - November
Significance :
Commonly cultivated in the gardens and suitable for growing on a screen.
