  • Habit : A slender twiner.
  • Leaves : Opposite, petioles not winged, shorter than blade, lanceolate or triangular-ovate, cordate or hastate, palmately 5-nerved.
  • Inflorescence : Axillaryon long peduncles.
  • Flowers :
    • Bracteate, bracts spathe-like, ovate, persistent.
    • Calyx cup-like with 15-teeth.
    • Corolla tube narrow, funnel-shaped, lobes 5, snow-white and without any fragrance.
    • Stamens 4, didynamous, anthers without spurs.
    • Ovary on a disk, style long, stigma 2-lipped.
  • Fruit : Capsule with many seeds.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : September - November
  • Significance : Commonly cultivated in the gardens and suitable for growing on a screen.
