Habit :
A prostrate herb, patently hairy, at length nearly glabrous.
Leaves :
0.4-2.5 x 0.2-1.2 cm, elliptic-oblong orobovate, glabrous but for hairy nerves beneath.
Inflorescence :
Axillary and terminal racemes.
Flowers :
Bright pinkish-purple, in 2.5-5.5 cm long.
Fruit :
Pods1-1.6 cm long, 3-6 jointed, joints hairy, faintly reticulately veined.
Seeds :
Sub-globose or oblong, dull-brown or smooth.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
August - February.
Significance :
Generally found as weeds in wastelands.
