Habit :
A tall erect succulent herb, procumbent, 15 - 40 cm high.
Stem :
Branches pale - green in colour and smooth.
Leaves :
Alternate, small, narrow, ovate, emarginated at apex, glabrous.
Inflorescence :
Spikes
Flowers :
Flowers greenish, Sepals oblong, apiculate, clusters small, axillary and terminal, simple or branched 6 - 15 cm long spikes.
Fruit :
Indehiscent
Flowering and Fruiting time :
During monsoon.
Significance :
It is used as a pot - herb.
Leaves are used to make a poultice.
