Habit :
A small annual herb with fibrous roots.
Leaves :
Terete, fistulous, acute, sheathing at the base, finely puberulous.
Scapes several from the root, smooth or puberulous, much branched in the upper part.
Flowers :
White, distant laxly Racemose, solitary in each bract.
Filaments slightly fusiform towards the top.
Stigma small, sub-capitate, minutely 3-lobed.
Fruit :
Capsule globose, erect, the valves deeply wrinkled.
Seeds sharply trigonous, acute, black.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
January - March
Significance :
Seeds are considered to be diuretic.
