  • Habit : An attractive, fast-growing, spreading, herbaceous, semi-hardy.
  • Stem : Have capacity to root easily at the nodes.
  • Leaves : Simple and darkgreen.
  • Inflorescence : Inflorescence a terminal raceme with flowers directed to one side
  • Flowers : Cream colored with tessellated purple markings on the palate (lower petal of the corolla).
  • Fruit : Capsule
  • Seeds : Brown colored.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : November to April, all year in warm climates.
  • Significance : This ground cover can be used as a mass planting under large trees and borders in full sun, semi-shade or full shade. It is also a good container plant.
