  • Leaves : 1-2 pinnately compound, segments ovae-lanceolate or linear, entire, lobed or toothed.
  • Inflorescence: Yellow or yellowish-brown heads, solitary, terminal, pedunculate.
  • Flowers :
    • Minute, crowded in dense axillary fascicles, subsessile or pedicelled.
    • Sepals 5, linear-lanceolate, very acute, with ciliate, often colored margins.
    • Petals 5, very thin, elliptic-oblong, acute.
    • Ovary subglobose, sulcate, styles 5 short.
