About Caladium bicolor Plant :
Habit :
A perennial herb without stems.
Leaves :
Borne on long petltate petioles arising directly from the underground tuber.
Generally lance or arrow head shaped with various spots or streaks of different colours like pink, red, gray or white.
Inflorescence :
Spadix and spathe.
Flowers :
Flowers are borne on the greenish white spadix and it is covered by a hood like structure-spathe.
Fruit :
Small white berries with small ovoid seeds.
Significance :
Generally grown as an ornamental plant, both indoor and outdoors.
