About Chlorophytum comosum Plant :

  • Habit : A perennial, evergreen herb with fleshy, tuberous roots.
  • Leaves : Narrow, long, lanceolate, .
  • Flowers :
    • Flowers borne in a long branched inflorescence and eventually bends downwards.
    • Flowers initially occur in clusters of 1-6 at intervals along the stem of the inflorescence.
    • Each cluster is at the base of a bract, becoming smaller towards the end of the inflorescence.
    • Flowers greenish-white, pedicellate, having 6 3-veined tepals slightly hooded or boat-shaped at their tips.

  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : Not known
  • Significance : It is generally grown as an ornamental pot plant.
