About Kochia indica Plant :

  • Habit : A tall, erect, branched annual with stem and branches more or less woolly, white triate.
  • Leaves : Linear-lanceolate, sessile, acute, pubescent or villous on both sides, base tapering.
  • Flowers :
    • Solitary, axillary or two together.
    • Perianth woolly, about one-tenth inch across when spread out, divided about one-fourth the way down, segments hooded, mucronate, incurved; wing broadly ovate, scarious.
  • Fruit :
    • Utricle thinly membranous, stigmas 2, filiform.
    • Seeds orbicular or ovoid, black.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : September
  • Significance : Found as an ornamental plant.
