  • Habit : A small, erect, rigid herb with rounded, hairy stem.
  • Leaves : Variable in size, sessile, oblong-lanceolate, rough, acute, hairy, pale beneath, with rounded auricles at the base.
  • Inflorescence : Capitulum (Head). Heads on long, slender peduncles.
  • Flowers :
    • Ray florets yellow, 12-24, 3-toothed.
    • Involucral bracts campanulate.
    • Disc florets are dark yellow in colour and fertile.
  • Fruit : Achenes
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : February - April
  • Significance : Wildly growing in wastelands.
