  • Habit : A soft perennial herb.
  • Leaves :
    • Ovate, narrowed or broad at base, sharply or nearly regularly toothed, beautifully coloured and variegated.
    • The variegations with different colours like yellow, orange, brown, purple, red, pink, green etc. may be in the form of blotches, stripes and spots or in a regular pattern.
    • There is marked variations in leaf size and colour among these plants.
  • Inflorescence : Long Spikes.
  • Flowers : Purplish-blue with bilipped corolla.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : Not known.
  • Significance : Grown as an ornamental plant.
