About Galphimia glauca Plant :

  • Habit : An evergreen shrub with branched tap root system and trunk covered with reddish fibres.
  • Stem : Erect, branched, solid, reddish when young.
  • Leaves : Elliptical,oblong or bluntly rounded off at their base, opposite, light green, becomes bronze coloured during cold conditions, glossy, thin and leathery.
  • Inflorescence : Panicles
  • Flowers : Yellow coloured, 5 sepals, 5 petals, 10 anthers-short and long and 3 styles.
  • Fruit : Three part seed Capsules.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : October - November
  • Significance : A popular garden plant.
