  • Habit : A shrub with often scrambling or trailing habit.
  • Leaves : Entire or palmately lobed.
  • Inflorescence : Solitary, axillary.
  • Flowers :
    • Pedicellate, Epicalyx 8-10, shortly connate, lanceolate or spathulate.
    • Corolla large, red coloured, showy with petals straight and not spreading.
    • Monadelphous stamens.
    • Carpels 5 having one ovule in each. Styles 10, fused at the base with capitate stigma.
  • Fruit : Not known.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : Throughout the year.
  • Significance : An ornamental plant.
