Habit :
A tender glabrous evergreen shrub.
Leaves :
Oppositely arranged, dark green, glossy, entire.
Inflorescence :
Solitary or in few flowered clusters on axillary peduncles, red in colour.
Flowers :
Sepals unequal, the outer two somewhat foliaceous.
Corolla tube straight, rather long. Limb almost regular.
Significance :
It is an ornamental flowering plant.
