About Tecoma fulva Plant :

  • Habit : Erect shrub, branches have purplish tinch.
  • Leaves :
    • Pinnately compound leaf, opposite, each leaf has 12 leaflets.
    • Leaflets sessile, wedge-shaped with toothed margins.
    • Young leaves are hairy.
  • Inflorescence : Racemes, terminal to the branches or on small axillary branches.
  • Flowers :
    • Reddish yellow on outside, stalked, gamopetalous, petals united to form funnel-shaped structure which downy.
    • Sepals cup-shape, showing five pointed teeth.
    • Stamens 4, didynamous, remain inside the corolla.
    • Carpel 2, style long, stigma bilobed.
  • Fruit : Two-valved capsule, seeds winged.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : Aug - May
  • Significance : Growing in garden as aesthetic point of view.
