  • Flowers : Yellow or pale-pink, at length red or reddish-purple, axillary, solitary on free margins of joints.
  • Fruits : Ripe berries fleshy, edible.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : December - May
  • Significance : Frequently raised as a hedge along cultivated fields, in scrub forests as an escape.
