About Pachypodium geayi Plant :

  • Habit : A deciduous tree reaching up to a height of 4 m.
  • Stem : A metallic grey pachypaule trunk (thick stems disproportionate to their length), covered with needles.
  • Leaves :
    • Thin, grey-green found at the top of the trunk (stem).
    • When the plant is grown in full sunlight the mid rib of the leaves becomes a handsome bright pink.
  • Flowers : The flowers of mature plants are white with a yellow throat and sweet scented.
  • Significance : It is an ornamental plant from Madagascar.
