Habit :
A bushy tree.
Leaves :
Unifoliate with pellucid oil glands, large, dark green, petioles broadly winged.
Inflorescence :
Axillary, solitary or 2-10 clustered.
Flower :
White, large, calyx cup-like, Petals 4-8, white, oblong.
Stamens 16-24.
Ovary many-celled, seated on a big disc, style long, stigma big, capitate.
Fruit :
Globose, large, yellow, rind, thich pulp white or red.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
May-Oct
Significance :
It is nutrient and refrigerant and useful in biliousness and good for chest complaints.
It is used in curing headaches and also against loss of appetite.
