About Firmiana colorata Plant :

  • Habit : A tall deciduous tree with straight trunk and grey bark.
  • Leaves : Crowded at the ends of branches, 15-20 cm long and almost as much broad, 3-5 lobed.
  • Flowers : 2-3 cm long, deep-orange.
  • Fruit : Follicles deep-orange, 2.5-3.5 cm long. Seeds ovoid, smooth, glabrous, pale-brown.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : February-June
  • Significance : The bark gives fibre.
