About Plumeria obtusa Plant :

  • Habit : A small tree up to 5 m with 2-4 branches given out from a short stem which is grayish brown, generally smooth with rough bark at places.
  • Leaves : Produced near branch tip which are petiolate, up to 30 cm long, 7 cm broad, oblong, mucronate, shining from above, dark green, light green below.
  • Inflorescence : Terminal few flowered cymes.
  • Flowers : Five obovate or oblanceolate petals united to form 2.5 cm corolla tube, white from outside, yellow from within.
  • Flowering and Fruiting Time : July - September
  • Significance : Ornamental tree.
