Bipinnate, pinnae 4-6 pairs, leaflets sessile, oblong, glabrous.
Inflorescence :
Axillary pendent spikes.
Flowers :
Yellow coloured.
Fruit :
Pods pendent slightly curved.
Flowering and Fruiting Time :
August - May
Significance :
The wood is predominantly used as a fuel-wood species.
The wood is also used for making inferior quality of furniture.
The plant is is known to be grown for land reclamation.
The leaves are good fodder for cattle.
